Our Catholic Identity shines through when our students visit our local community centers to spend time with the residents. Last Friday, the sixth-grade class visited the Vista Life Care Center. They came prepared with coloring sheets, nail polish, and games to play with the residents. They also sang songs to and with the residents. It is really heartwarming to see the faces of the residents light up when the students arrive. More importantly the valuable lessons our children learn about being kind and serving our elderly are something we can’t teach at school.
St. Francis School has built a strong partnership with Vista Life Care Center. Our children walk over to visit them every week and they bring residents to our Christmas programs and Performing Art Shows. The inter-generational relationship is flourishing here!
