On Sunday, January 26th, please stop by Stella Maris Academy’s Open House to see why students and parents love Stella Maris, the parish school of Mary, Star of the Sea Catholic Church. From 10am until 12 noon, you can tour our school campus, visit the classrooms and talk with the teachers, staff and Mrs. Francie Moss, our principal.
Stella Maris Academy is a transitional-kindergarten through 8th grade co-educational Catholic school in the Village of La Jolla. Children at Stella Maris thrive in a warm and welcoming, friendly and safe environment and are representative of a diverse student body as our students are from many areas of San Diego, as well as international students.
Our students are well-rounded with learning programs in Spanish, music and the arts, physical education, and STEM education. Graduates of Stella Maris Academy are well prepared for secondary education, often exceeding their high school classmates in math, science, reading as well as social skills. We have adopted and implemented a Social Skills Curriculum for the purpose of teaching social behaviors – in combination with the academic programs – to provide life-long coping skills that will enable our students with the tools they will need to navigate challenges through-out their lifetime.
For 73 years, Stella Maris has provided academic excellence in a nurturing environment by our talented and dedicated staff. Stella Maris Academy is located at 7654 Herschel Avenue, La Jolla, 92037. Please call 858-454-2461 with any questions or registration information.
