Stella Maris Academy is a transitional-kindergarten through 8th grade co-educational Catholic school in the Village of La Jolla. Children at Stella Maris thrive in a warm and welcoming, friendly and safe environment and are representative of a diverse student body as our students are from many areas of San Diego, as well as international students.
Our students are well-rounded with learning programs in Spanish, music and the arts, physical education, and STEM education. Graduates of Stella Maris Academy are well prepared for secondary education, often exceeding their high school classmates in math, science, reading as well as social skills. We have adopted and implemented a Social Skills Curriculum for the purpose of teaching social behaviors – in combination with the academic programs – to provide life-long coping skills that will enable our students with the tools they will need to navigate challenges through-out their lifetime.
