Sr. Eva from the Missionary Childhood Association shared with SMA students about her recent missionary trip to Jamaica. She spent most of her time just outside the city of Kingston at the Mustard Seed Community which supports abandoned and disabled children. Some of those children are still there decades later thanks to the care and camaraderie received by volunteers and supporters. Students viewed photos and videos of volunteers personalizing donated wheelchairs to meet the needs of children with Cerebral Palsy and watched a therapist help a child stretch his muscles, who spends his life in a wheelchair. A check was also presented to Sister Ava from the “Jeans for Jesus” fundraiser. https://www.mustardseed.com/our-work/where-we-serve/jamaica
