School of the Madeleine has been selected to participate in the 2018 National Assessment of Educational Progress also known as NAEP. It is the largest continuing and nationally representative assessment of what students across the country know and can do in a variety of subject areas. All of our 8th-graders have been selected to take civics, geography, and U.S. history assessments in February.
As selected participants, the test results will be part of what’s called The Nation’s Report Card. Our students have been chosen to represent thousands of their peers in this important assessment. Their participation will provide a snapshot of what students from across the country have learned in school, which in turn will inform major decisions about how to improve the education system in the United States. We are so proud of our 8th graders for being selected to take part in this important assessment and know that they are prepared and will do their best!
